ABA List now at 982

An interesting note on the addition of Zino's Petrel to the ABA list:

I wonder how many more years (or decades?) until the list reaches 1000?

    +6 in 2012, +5 or 6 so far in 2013 - probably not too many more years at this rate! (4-5) This includes splits and introduced species though.

      Hmm I guess decades is stretching it. Though I hope the 1000 bird isn't a split or an introduced species.
